Bear loves to help in the kitchen. I started her helping at around 9 or ten months, mixing things with her hands, which was also a great sensory experience. Now my little chef also cuts and helps prepare meals in a more helpful way. Here she prepared fruit salad, cutting bananas and watermelon (I'd already cut off the rind) .
Then later she helped set the table. I set everything she needed on the step stool and she placed it on the table in the right places.
What a great helper! Emma is getting big enough to be a real helper with dinner prep too.
ReplyDeleteAnna loves helping in the kitchen too, and we had a lot of fun making pizza from scratch together that was based on your recipe. Bear looks so busy with her salad, what a big girl with this knife!
ReplyDeleteWhat a good little helper, how cute!
ReplyDeleteThat is so sweet of her :)
ReplyDeleteI don't know why I do not let Diego help more with everyday tasks like these. He loves to help. I am going to try to do better. :)
ReplyDeleteSo perfect! Practical life activities are probably Maddie and my favorite types of work. Over the months, we've created a prepared environment that has really helped us out in this area, since things are accessible to her (towels, silverware, ect).
ReplyDeleteAnyway, that fruit looks yummy! I was at the market yesterday and the fruit all looked SO bland.
I love how much you've involved her! It looks like she's having a great time, too. :)
