My Little Chef

Recently I spent about thirty minutes and sewed a little chef's hat for Bear.  I used Skip to My Lou's tutorial.  I'm not the best seamstress, (and I was hurrying to finish it as Bear was standing right beside me) so a lot of the seams are super crooked, but from a distance one can't tell.  I repurposed one of my husband's old shirts to make it.
Then later that night I used the rest of the shirt to make an apron.  It velcroes on the side so Bear can put it on herself.  The pocket on the apron is from an old maternity dress I turned into a skirt.  I still had the top part of the dress though.  I save everything!

Bear's having a grand old time pretending to be Chef Pig from Word World!

  5. The bear and your Bear look so cute! I really need to make one of these for my daughter. She loves books about baking and they all have a chef's hat in them.

  6. The chef's hat is SO cute!! The Littlest Apple would love this! He really likes to help in the kitchen, and to have his own little chef's hat and apron would be really neat. Off to check out that tutorial!

  7. Oh, love it! Maddie got an apron for Christmas and a chef's hat would be the perfect finish. I'm terrible with sewing, but I'm forwarding the tutorial onto my talented sister.

    So cute!
