Tot School

I keep forgetting to post my Tot School activities!

J-jo's been busy exploring new toys since Christmas.

This one is old, but I had put it away so he enjoyed seeing it again.
Bear got this fishing game for Christmas, but we don't have the right kind of battery for it, so it became a fine motor one-to-one correspondence kind of activity of taking the fish out and putting them back in each hole.
We've been baking a lot of muffins for school lunches.  I think these ones were banana muffins though.  J-jo loves mashing and says, "mash, mash, mash," as he mashes.
Pushing pebbles through a small hole.  He is very closely supervised for this as he sometimes wants to put the pebbles in his mouth.  I keep it on a higher shelf and he points to it when he wants to do it.
He also pours the pebbles but I haven't managed to get a photo of it that wasn't blurry.
Painting.  He is enjoying scribbling more and more.
Playing with the peg men. I made him holes to push them through as he loves to push things through holes right now.  He pulls the pegs out of the cups, then puts the pegs in the small hole in the box and the cup in the bigger hole.
Threading Cheerios onto an uncooked spaghetti stuck in a blob of play dough.  This was very challenging.
Rolling play dough.
Playing outside on nice days.
These car ramps are lots of fun.  You can find them here
but I recommend K-mart where they are half the price.

  3. Looks like lots of fun! :-) L, recently been very interested in scribbling as well. It's amazing to watch them when their interest in something changes so drastically.

  4. Very fun! Thank you for your comment on my blog! :) The XS is very similar to the first camera I had - the XSI so I'm pretty familiar with it. If you have any questions, I'd be happy to help! I'm also thinking about writing some tutorials soon.

    So glad to "meet" you!
    Catherine :)
