Tot School

 J-jo is 14.5 months

He loves being read to now.
He plays a lot with the picture cards from a game we have (these are the same picture cards that I used with Bear at 20 months for alphabet sorts).  I tell him what the object is and sometimes tell him stories about them.
He opens and closes the pencil boxes in which I keep our plastic animals.  Then he has a ball looking and mouthing the animals.
Not technically a toddler Montessori item, but he is ALWAYS pulling off the Montessori items so I chose to help him stack five of the yellow knobless cylinders.  I was surprised by how well he could stack them if I supported the bottom cylinder.  Bear wasn't able to stack this well at his age.
So I tried having him stack four of the pink cubes. I was giving him the next cube to place.  I probably should just let him experiment with the order next time we try it.
We spent a lot of time outside.

And even went to a pumpkin parking lot patch.  I love the texture of the pumpkin he is holding.
Of course, he chose a pumpkin a bit too big for him to carry.
We have been singing the leaves songs from 1+1+1=1
Pushing tiny pompoms through the holes in the parmesan container.  Much harder than it looks when you are 14 months.

  1. I think my tot loves the Montessori material more than the older kids! I finally set of three of the pink tower blocks in the living room for him to work with.
