J-jo's new favorite activity is putting stickers on paper. I hand him the sticker and he places it.
I kept him occupied playing with water in the sink while I washed toilets.
He's still learning to drink from a glass. I decided to only use the little table for snacks. It is much easier to have a family meal if he is at our height at the table.
Transferring ice from the bowl to the pot of water. Ice keeps the kids entertained for long periods of time and is great when I need to cook.
Pincer grasp work pushing poker chips through a slot in an oatmeal canister. I love empty oatmeal canisters. We have lots of them around the house all with different sized openings cut into the lid. I usually also cut an opening in the side so he can get the items out on his own.

Thanks for sharing! Love the sticker idea. Just loaded up on some at the dollar store! Kerri
ReplyDeleteYour post reminded me that yesterday my son asked me for a "glacier," so I put a loaf pan of water in the freezer for him. I'll have to take it out to play with this afternoon. We don't do many sensory type things here, but he really enjoyed when I made him a glacier/water scene with his toy boats a few weeks back (we were loosely studying Iceland).
