Can I Play Too? by Mo Willems is one Bear can read to me. Tonight I actually fell asleep as she read to me; talk about role reversals! The story, as most of Willem's stories, has a funny twist ending.
How the Reindeer Got their Antlers is a Bear choice. She always seems to manage to sneak a Christmas book into our bag. I prefer to keep Christmas books for December. Bear has deemed this book so special, she has wrapped it so she can open it tomorrow. I thought it was a cute story.
Mouse's First Halloween is another one that Bear delights in reading herself. It is a rhyming story that flows nicely and there is a pattern to the story that makes it great for early readers. I plan on checking out more books by Lauren Thompson.

All of these sound well worth reading! I think it's adorable that Bear wrapped up the Christmas book.

ReplyDeleteOh, I understand falling asleep. I can hardly make it through the bedtime books some nights. I'm yawning so much I'm suprised he gets much of the story. lol.
