A Fairy House

I love everything Valerie posts at Frugal Family Fun does with her two girls and wish I had the time to do all of them!  For the past two nights I have been hard at work making a fairy house for Bear using a tutorial that Valerie recently posted.

I added a button doorknob and a little loop of vine (embroidery floss) to keep the door shut.  I used cheap acrylic felt because that is all I had.  It was thicker than most cheap felts so I just doubled it to make the house sturdier.  I cut out some felt autumn leaves to decorate and used a real dried leaf as a carpet for the little fairy's outdoor area.  I made my fairy differently, and will eventually post a tutorial for it.

Of course, I couldn't wait until Christmas to give it to Bear.

Today I took Bear on a special Mommy and me outing to the fabric store and bought more felt for a second house.  I will likely be up late again tonight! LOL!  We're going to create a little village of fairies :)
Thank you, Valerie, for your inspiration!
