I saw this on That Artist Woman. We modified it a bit. The great thing about this was that J-jo did one too. He used fists though for his angel’s wings. And of course, he had no idea he was participating in an art project.
J-jo’s angel above. I did the face and halo.
Bear did two angels. She never really finished them. The one above she didn’t draw the facial features nor the halo. The one below she did (although the eyes are as large as the halo! Well, she is just two!) She then proceeded to decorate the angel’s dress with markers and it evolved into an unrecognizable black and pink “thing.” Glad I got a “before” picture!
These are cute!
ReplyDeleteThat is such a cute project!
ReplyDeleteI've never seen those before...so cute!
ReplyDeleteI love the angels - it's amazing to see the difference in footprint sizes. We have a lot of projects that are quickly "improved" to the point when they are all painted muddy brown :)
ReplyDeleteArt projects that include using little perople's hands and feet are so special - they make sweet keepsakes. What adorable angels made from such precious prints.
ReplyDeleteWe like to use magnetic paper here too and the good ole cookie tray.
I had never come across That Artist Woman. Thank you for linking to her and introducing me to another creative and inspiring blog.
I like the idea of the size sorting tree using a tube. I think Savvy would enjoy this too.
On our list of Advent activities we have the fun task of making gingerbread men too. Savvy is really looking forward to this and she can't wait to decorate them.
I really enjoy reading through the different artists that you have introduced Bear to and how you have used their works to inspire your own pieces. I recently bought Savvy a few of the books from the Smart About Art series that Jean (I'm pretty sure it was Jean) mentioned on her blog.
Your matching exercises are fun and I like that they are different. I like your twist on the matching exercise using the art cards - a great idea.
We just made handprint santas--I love this angel idea.
