Sock Monkeys

Couldn't resist these cute nesting sock monkeys at Target.
Because they are all the same color, they are more challenging than our Stack 'N Sort barrels.
I brought them out and told Bear, " I was going to save them for your birthday, but you can play with them now," to which she replied, "It's okay, Mommy, you can put them away and I can wait."
I love my Bear.
I told her she might as well enjoy them today.  They kept her busy all afternoon.  J-jo enjoyed them too, but not nearly as much or as long.

  1. We have Russian nesting dolls, but they keep Anna busy for about 5 min, then she puts them back together and done playing with them. Maybe those monkeys have better graduation in sizes which makes them more of a challenge.

  2. My parents gave me Russian nesting dolls for Christmas, but they are stiff to open and hard for little hands. These monkeys are easier for that. Bear may have taken such a liking to them too because when I presented them, I discovered they each had a different facial expression and then I gave them voices and made them talk to her.

  3. My son would love these! He really likes playing with our Russian nesting dolls, but DH is afraid he will break them and they are hard to open. I'll have to check our Target...
