Snowflakes Falling - Songs to Print and Act Out

>> Thursday, December 2, 2010

I (and my children and my children's friends) all loved Carisa's falling leaves songs (acted out by dropping "silk" leaves from above our heads) that I had to create some snowflake songs for the winter.

I purchased two snowflake garlands, then cut the snowflakes off them.  I searched a while because I didn't want any glittery ones that would leave glitter everywhere.  I finally found what I wanted at Hobby Lobby.

We sing these songs, which I wrote up as printables, and let the snowflakes fall over us.  J-jo especially loves it and so do the twenty month old twins I work with.
(I think Bear was trying to protect J-jo from the cold with the red "scarf" that I forbade her to wrap around J-jo's neck!  Thankfully, it looks like she settled for his abdomen.)

The songs are available here

That's a great idea. My little one is begging to get out in the snow but it's just so COLD. I think we'll settle for this activity instead.
