Apples

We're going apple picking on Labor Day with some new friends we've just met so I thought I would share a timely book I found by Nancy Elizabeth Wallace.

The rabbit family goes to the orchard and picks apples.  The book is illustrated in Nancy Elizabeth Wallace's sweet paper cut-outs.  It is also full of apple activities like making prints, naming the parts of the apple, and cooking a secret recipe.  There's a page with a chart that compares different apples.

We'll be doing some taste testing of apples and other fun activities on Tuesday with Bear's new friend.  Stay tuned for that post:)

I am planning on doing some apple related stuff in a few weeks to celebrate fall and all. There are no apple trees around here but I lived in an apple orchard when I was a little girl so I know all about apple picking. I hope Bear has fun!

Thanks for joining WMCIR! It's great that you met a new friend and can share fun activities together. I heard about this book, but we didn't read it. I hope we will still catch our apple picking season when everyone is back in CA.
