Montessori Monday

Although we are not currently focusing on any specific continent or country, Bear keeps saying "It's like in Asia," every time I ask her to please take her shoes off in the house.
Above, we were talking about how most Asian cultures use chopsticks so she decided to try to eat her rice with some.
She decided my whipped cream frosting on her and J-jo's birthday cake looked like snow and put her penguins on it as decorations.
She transferred water from one bowl to another with a sponge.  Not a new activity, but a well-loved one. J-jo tried his best to participate and I tried my best to teach him to respect his sister's space.
She reviewed the parts of her violin.

These are Constructibles.  We won them ages ago from Counting Coconuts, but I was saving them as a birthday present.
Making granola for snack time on the "first" day of school.
Metal Insets - these are really part of our geometric cabinet, but we multi task with it.

I'm linking up at One Hook Wonder and Mommy Moment for Montessori Monday.

  1. How neat that both Bear and J-Jo has birthday so close to the beginning of the school year. Teaching two is definitely a challenge that I would be afraid to undertake :)

  3. Happy Birthday J-Joe and Bear! I love that you use your geometric materials as insets - wish I'd thought of that before buying some. Thanks for linking up to Montessori Monday. :)
