Sandcastles

>> Friday, July 16, 2010

I made Bear the sand dough following the recipe on Family Fun.  I was inspired by Childhood Magic 's beautiful castle.  Unfortunately, we weren't able to preserve the castles and towers I made for Bear as the dough got moldy.
I think next time I will stick to my preferred recipe and simply add a bit of sand to that dough as Counting Coconuts did.

As always you're awesome! We're heading to the beach today to make a real castle:-), but this looks like LOTS of fun for next week at home! Thanks as always for such super ideas. BTW, I had a blast printing and printing yesterday from the literacy site you shared the other day--thank you!

Your castles look very real - well done! Thanks for the link back, too. :)

You just gave me an idea how to create a perfect "Leaning Tower of Pisa" that Anna requested. Your castles look great - thanks for sharing!

I am definitely going to have to do this. One of our bucket list items is to build a sandcastle. We were supposed to do this when we went to the beach, but we had too much fun in the water.
