Fly Swatter Painting

>> Thursday, June 17, 2010

If you have an easel, this is a great summer project you can do outside.  (We did it inside due to a heat wave that would make a cockroach swoon.)  If you don't mind paint on the side of your house or fence, then go ahead and tape paper to those surfaces and try this fun painting tool.

A fly swatter!

We picked up these pretty flower shaped ones on a trip to the Dollar Tree.  (Actually, Bear spotted them and then insisted we get them, and since she is not the type to request things while on shopping trips, I obliged.)
I immediately thought "cool painting tool."  I like to use pretty unusual things as painting tools; you can read more about that in this post.
Paint one side of the swatter with the color or colors of your choice and then swat away!
It's that simple!

You are one brave momma to do that inside! Looks like a lot of fun.
