Bear, Baby Boy and I went for a nature walk on Monday.
We saw lots of leaf cutter ants trotting along in long tracks up and down our driveway.
They are amazing.
They can carry such gigantic leaves.
If we were as strong as an ant, we could carry a car over our heads!

I wish we had some plastic insects, specifically plastic ants. I would have had her stamp their legs into playdough to make ant tracks. We stamped a cat paw stamp in the playdough instead.

Ants are amazing! My daughter has been fascinated by them lately, every time she sees one she will squat down and say "Ant"! I saw a package of plastic ants at Big Lots for $1 before. I'm not sure if they have that store in Costa Rica.

ReplyDeleteAmazing pictures - I didn't know any of this about ants. All I know is I don't want them in the house. :) Bear is so lucky to have a mommy who takes the time to share this kind of thing with her!
