Tot Trays:
Dropper work - this remains challenging for her. She doesn't really get that you squeeze before the dropper enters the water and then let go once the dropper is in the water so that the dropper will fill up. Nevertheless, she constantly asks to do this work.
Fabric Match - squares of scraps of fabric for her to match up.
Alphabet Matching Puzzle
Clothespins on yogurt container - her favorite again this week.
Color sorting popsicle sticks - she actually chose this without me prompting her to!
Literature Extensions:
Alphabet action cards
fingerplays
Art:
silhouette water colors
collage prints
chalk drawings
painting on canvas
watercolor pencils
cutting practice
Language:
Lots of reading as usual
An impromptu "b" lesson (As Bear stuck stickers in a notebook, I noticed that her stickers were butterflies and bees, so we talked about the sound /b/ a bit.)

we had a really fun b week this past spring for totschool! this week we had lots of fun with our puffy paint tactile letters!
ReplyDeleteI've never tried clothespins on a yogurt container. I'll have to try that (or some variation). Thanks for sharing!
ReplyDeleteGreat job on all the activities you did this week!
ReplyDeleteI may have to try the fabric match game. I also haven't tried watercolors with AG yet, so that's another one to add to my growing list. Thanks for all the ideas!!
