Chayote Noodles

I was staring at our chayote plant (looks like a green squash but tastes like cucumber) as Bear and I sat on our log outside. Suddenly the curly wispy tendrils of the vine looked like noodles. While Bear picked some, I ran (waddled, since I am 9 months pregnant!) to get her frying pan and tongs, plates and forks. Bear cooked us a wonderful lunch of chayote "noodles," which we then proceeded to pretend to eat. Yum!
